AHHH!!! one of my fish died!!!!
now left one only...
haiz... the big one always bully the small one...
today, went for career seminar and pae and collection of certs. i didn't know... so had to carry my certs and stuff in my hands all the way... even went to look for job with laura, huiling, shiling and casie at specialist centre. waited so long but ended up on their keep in view list... ie no hope.
only about 100 vacancies but over 500 applicants and we belonged to the 530+th so waited from 3pm to 5pm... but went to eat in between...
today oso first day carrying my new handphone :) but i very slow... not adapted to carrying hp yet... furthermore its motorola... i usually play around with nokia hps
yesterday about a third of my class went to sentosa, so today they all ended up with serious sunburns... xiuxia the most ke3 lian2... damn painful...
for me, luckily i declined their offer for me to join in (coz i didn't like to go to the beach) and i bought my long-awaited THE SIMS!!!! COLLECTORS EDITION 2 some more! :) :P *happy happy*
saturday, i went with mom to her sec2 (ya, thats' like 31yrs ago) class gathering steamboat at garden hotel cum farewell party for one of her ex-classmates whose going over to melbourne with his entire family to set up a restaurant. actually the food was a disappointment. and i was rather bored coz don't know anyone... and even spent 3 hours there...
other than these, i spent most of my time playing on the com... so slack!
time to pack for my class chalet for tml!!!! yeahh!!!! u *jealous* rite! teehee... u're just virtual...
anyway, i know u are jealous! u silly blog! u didn't get to go to any chalet! i'm going to the same chalet for the consecutive third year!!! still its fun!!! ;p
i went to body world today!!!
first time at expo!!! went with yiyun, ruyan, liming and amanda. there were quite alot of ppl there though the tickets are so ex. mostly students. still got channel 8 reporter interviewing... some so scary... those deformed foetus so poor thing... i felt that some of the anatomies look unreal...
think they should alot photographing... otherwise i forget everthing liaoz...
we spent 3+ hours walking! walk 1h already jiao3 hen3 suan1! just imagine how tired we were at the end! then we went to the food fair at another hall. sooo many ppl! really typical singaporeans...
had my dinner there... the others bought alot of food! for their families :) yiyun even bought crab! for her mom to cook for her family! so nice
ITS ALL OVER!!! 'o' level's all over!!! yippy!!!!!
just now i watched 'looney tunes: back in action' at ps! very funny! good relaxation after exams :)
went with lisa, yuhshin, weilin and ruyan. actually we went cineplex with huiru, wanxuan, lingee, xiebo and huilin, but they wanted to watch wishing stairs which is a horror movie and there were no other movies at that time so we went over to ps but there was only looney so we decided to watch it
then just now on my way home, a man at the mrt tried to promote god to me... then i so good, never reject him like most people would... and even listened to him for abt 15-20min! then i was wondering how people can talk for so long one-sidedly... but of course i did respond and ask some questions...
oh ya, b4 i went to sch, i went to mac to buy lunch... then the guy (around my age or maybe younger but taller) so enthu! then he asked me 'are u loving it?' then i karna shock! then i think i gave him the *disbelief* look before smiling and answering yah. then he put up his hand while asking 'may i have a hi-5?' (or sth like tt, forgot the exact qn...) then i shocked again... but still hi-5 with him. wah, so enthu person, zhen1 nan2 de
my brother just came back from a motorcycle accident...
see, the whole family told him not to ride but he wldn't listen...
luckily he just injured his wrist... he said got a hole... (wonders what it looks like)
told mom he didn't see a rock on the road... so...
*frown* *sigh*
ooo... some ppl today last day of exams liaoz *sobs*, me tml then last day... but some ppl thurs then last day! *naughty grin*
i die liao... till now still haven't even finish 1 chapter of history...
anyway, i found my watch today... at the announcement whiteboard outside the hall... must be someone put it there coz its on the marker ledge (is this what its called?)
so i don't know where i really dropped it...
while searching for my papers, met elise... she say wanna go back for band but don't know the time... so she'll contact me... she also said the band concert is postponed to nxt yr... then i was so shocked!
bah
don't know if i will be going out after history tml... it ends at 3.30pm...
i this pathetic person... till now still no one yue1 me... so loser rite... maybe i'll be going home right after the final 'o' level paper... truly pathetic...
Why?
coz MY COMPUTER CRASHED!!!! it was attacked by the WELCHIA VIRUS!!! and all my data is gone!!! (but i had backup most since the computer crashed the other time)
yah, that was the 1st and most impt reason, then as time went on, i didn't feel like blogging coz things to blog piled upppp. it crashed on 24 oct... and only got repaired middle of the following week...
so why am i blogging again now?
coz i lost my watch again! 'again'? so when was the 1st time? erm... i think a yr or 2 ago... and that cost about 50 bucks so never again did my mom buy me an expensive watch... but the one i just lost is also not cheap... but i forgot the price...
haizz... and its so new (a few mths)! and attractive! and praised for its 'good looks' by a few ppl...
and the worst thing is both times i lost it because i fell asleep on public transport and got off in a rush thus dropping my watch which is often in my hands instead of around my wrist....
haiz... all because the computer crashed at the wrong time, i didn't get to blog abt grad ceremony!!! haiz... the once in a lifetime significant event... and by now i've already forgotten most of what happened...
25 october...
only remember i went to njc open house with loads of classmates and after that me and laura went to kaiyun's house. we made sushi and had them for lunch, then we went rollerblading and i fell twice. 1st time on my butt so no injury. then the 2nd time, i was sliding backwards towards the open drain so i had to fall forwards so i ended up with a wound that has already healed up by now. initially i though it was only a scratch but after awhile, it started to swell and was covered with blood...
then after a failed try to learn rollerblading, i decided not to rollerblade again, without professional assistance or sufficient safety precautions.
after taking turns to bathe, we reported back to sch. it was the 1st time i didn't wear a pair of pe shorts under my hongzi.... haiz... so uncomfortable..... and it has to happen on grad ceremony! why do i have to forget to bring it?! luckily didn't bao4 guang1, hopefully didn't.
erm... that's all...
oh ya, the sec3s very bad, many never sing the bid farewell song to us, just fakingg... sooooo lousy bunch of juniors....
2 more papers to end of 'o' levels i would be over the moon by now if the last paper wasn't history...
so far...
english was not too bad...
ss sbq sucked, structured still ok...
math hopefully a1 if no careless mistakes...
hcl die liaoz.... zuo4 wen2 only wrote 1 and a half pages (and this is why i failed my prelims zuo4 wen2 causing me to get c5 in the end)
physics not much hope for distinction coz the questions so damn difficult and i did so damn slowly coz it was the 1st science paper and i didn't had enough sense of hurrying and in the end when the answers start coming to me, there was not enough time to write them down...
biology *hopefully* can get distinction coz i didn't leave loads of blanks like physics though i never got distinction for bio exam before (d7 jiu4 you3)... very happy that i got a day to study coz those things i read really did help
chemistry, if things go as usual and my practical (which sucked) won't pull me down too much, i think i can get a1 though i left some blanks...
then i was drawing a diagram about another way to measure carbon dioxide other than the given one and i spent quite some time on it though only 2 marks and i still xin1 li3 an4 an4 gao1 xin4 draw until quite nice but ended up not enough time...... so stupid... like a stupid cartoon scenario...
haiz... that stupid physics... prac built up my confidence of getting a1 but the theory paper washed my hopes down the drain........ idiot!!!
summary:
i'm definitely not a 7/8/9/10 a1 person unless a miracle happens!
of course, i *hope* it does ;)

Other Recommended Readings by Marc
The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin – Few books have had as significant an impact on the way society views the natural world and the genesis of humankind.
The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell – Gladwell looks at how a small idea, or product concept, can spread like a virus and spark global sociological changes. Specifically, he analyzes “the levels at which the momentum for change becomes unstoppable.”
David Copperfield by Charles Dickens – This is a tale that lingers on the topic of attaining and maintaining a disciplined heart as it relates to one’s emotional and moral life. Dickens states that we must learn to go against “the first mistaken impulse of the undisciplined heart.”
Lolita – This is the kind of book that blows your mind wide open to conflicting feelings of life, love and corruption… and at times makes you deeply question your own perceptions of each. The story is as devious as it is beautiful.
Getting Things Done by David Allen – The quintessential guide to organizing your life and getting things done. Nuff said.
How To Cook Everything by Mark Bittman – 900 pages of simple instructions on how to cook everything you could ever dream of eating. Pretty much the greatest cookbook ever written. Get through a few recipes each week, and you’ll be a master chef by the time you’re 30.
Honeymoon with My Brother by Franz Wisner – Franz Wisner had it all… a great job and a beautiful fiancée. Life was good. But then his fiancée dumped him days before their wedding, and his boss basically fired him. So he dragged his younger brother to Costa Rica for his already-scheduled honeymoon and they never turned back… around the world they went for two full years. This is a fun, heartfelt adventure story about life, relationships, and self discovery.
Self-note: Tip for my future business =D
give employees reasonably high pay to keep them- otherwise they are unlikely to stay loyal.
treat employees not according to how well they treat me but how conscientious they are at work
(of course, musn't expect them to only do work throughout the entire working hours -
give some breathing space too, we are humans, not machines) Movies watched(listing started on 6jan08)

11Jan08: "Le Grand Chef" w WLing, JT & Irene (good! funny, very touching, :) nice; watch if like humour+meaning+food)

21Nov09: "Gokusen" w Mf, Eva, Tony, Sarah (funny inspirational movie)

30Dec09: "Sherlock Holmes" w Irene, Tony, Sweetee (my favourite genre of books made into a movie - what else can be more cool? acting effects humour excitement suspense all in)
12Jan10: "Avatar 3D" w Mom (didn't appreciate the digital effects which everyone wowed about. content etc was so-so. cathay's 3D glasses were too heavy for me)
8Feb10: "The Truman Show" w Ky n sis n Yuhshin (a must-watch. very thought-provoking, funny. reminder to be spontaneous and create your life the way you want, instead of falling into a typical routine
14Feb10: "New York, I Love You" w Mom (I loved it! a good couple movie with meaningful pointers to keep it going. but i think some stories could be more developed)
16Feb10: rewatched "The Pianist" (still find it good, tho i still feel first viewings are the best)
17Feb10: "Valentine's Day" w CHL n WB (laughed throughout - a feel-good movie; liked the fact that the various stories binded tog so well with the little surprises here and there, vs NY ILU in which each story was separate)
20Feb10: "赤壁二" w Addy, Karen, Sharon, SJ (should have watched the first one first cos i ended up not knowing who's who and what's happening and had to keep asking :/ and couldn't pay attn.. if not i think it should be a pretty good movie..)
4Mar10: "Alice in Wonderland 3D" w Mf (i found the 3D effects of this @ CCK Shaw SO much better than Avatar @ The Cathay =/ and the movie was much more enjoyable too! - cheered a sad me up :)) favourite quote - the Mad Hatter: “You used to be much muchier before. ... You have lost your muchness.”)
18Mar10: "Nodame Cantabile" w Irene, Mf (i thoroughly enjoyed some of the orchestra pieces - SO impressive! the expressions of the actors were really amusing :D)

Inception
Letters to God (very simple Christian movie)
22Nov10: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" w Ame, Irene (they loved it. pretty good, i guess the main problem i had was that im not familiar with HP :X)
13Dec10: "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" w Sj (not bad, could follow the story unlike HP. like the meaningful teachings, too long - in a post)
2Mar11: "The King's Speech" w Ame (hilarious, inspirational, tho it doesn't impress me that much to understand why it's the Oscar winner)
Mar11: "10 Things I Hate About You" very funny. silly sweet high school romance. just right for having breaks in between doing homework
23May11: "Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides" w Wb Yl Ame Pg (pretty good - scenery, freakish parts, fighting scenes, dressing, humour, bits of Christianity like when the Spanish said "only God gives life")
6Jun11: "Xmen First Class" w Wb Ame Pg (i was very keen on watching it and it was really good! intellectual, makes sense, cool action, some humour)
9Jun11: "Legally Blonde 2" w Irene (seems like some dumb blonde movie but kind of meaningful too - speaking up for yourself and what you stand for)
17Jun11: "Something Borrowed" w Sandy Lisa (quite funny, somewhat meaningful wrt friendships. they didn't like the lack of sense for one part tho)
16Jul11: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" w Irene, Sweetee, Kw (not bad. i didn't understand some parts again but the humour and effects were pretty good)
Aug11 "Horrible Bosses" w Ma (she fell asleep! gosh. the movie was very crude i must say but there was the humour)
25Oct11: "The Three Musketeers" w H (i would rate it 3.5 for humour/intellectual language and 4 for action. it's by the same producer or director as Sherlock! but a bit less awesome albeit a good chill out movie)
5Nov11: "Real Steel" w Hl (action packed but not too hardcore for me. i liked that there was the father and son element and how the father eventually softened his heart and especially the part when charlie was having trouble telling max sth and max was so understanding saying "Don't worry. Your secret's safe with me." touching and demonstrates true fighting spirit)
12Dec11: "50/50" w L (adopting her words - a heavy topic put across in a lighthearted way, but not taking away d meaning. most of it was rather hollywood-ish trashiness but there were a couple of punch lines "u can't change ur parents, but u can change d way u respond to them.")
25Dec11: "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" w KY (ultimate action packed! super tense almost throughout the movie, and interesting Tom Cruise made it such that not everything happened smoothly - he would jump and misland and get all sorts of injuries..it's really the courage to jump without hesitation even though you are not sure you'll be alive after that. KY loved d movie and said she would watch it again!)
3Jan12: "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" w KY (i love mystery (: and the witty sarcastic dialogues. good level of excitement with the action. didn't understand some parts as usual. i like Holmes and Watson they depict such a true pair of buddies ;D)
23Jan12: "You are the Apple of My Eye" w mom (now i understand why guys like this movie so much - the anxiety of chasing after a girl and the acts schoolboys do to get the girl's attention and hopefully affection. the initial fluttering and the subsequent quarrelling)
22Mar12: "The Iron Lady" w KY (really love Thatcher's sharp words. inspiring and thought-provoking, tho i was still left uncertain of what to do with my life, the movie is definitely an encouraging one)
29Mar12: "Barney's Version" w SJ (a funny movie of a screwed up life of a man who had 3 wives, smoked and drank but very heartwarming at the same time, the relationships with the dad and the 3th wife - quotable quotes!)
27Apr12: "The Hunger Games" w Mom
4May12" "Avengers" w MF n PS (funny, action-packed)
7Jul12: "The Amazing Spiderman"
21Jul12: "The Dark Knight Rises" (fantastic depth, loved the twists)
