friday... alot ppl pon lessons, the teachers expected it anyway. my 1st 2 lessons are lectures, the lecture theatres were like half or more empty. for maths its supposed to b almost full n for chem lecture, ppl usually had to sit on the floor one lor. since so many ppl ponned, we were dismissed 20 min early for maths n the nxt period was break. those in my class who came for lectures only went to kap to join those who ponned everythin. so the few of us who r not ponning anythin played bridge in the canteen after eating. den it was gp. we went to the classrm n continued playing till our teacher, ms wan came. den we made her let us play bridge :) heez, usually she's very boring n easily angered but she let us play! hahaz, den estelle msged huitian n we played a trick on her. ms wan called estelle using ht's phone n asked her where she was. hahaz... the few of us were laughing away... heez, so naughty
den after gp, i went back to ny. stupid side gates... both nj n ny's were locked!!! so we had to walk a huge round!! n the main gates of the 2 schools were on opposite sides lorz... wanxuan estimated that's its like 3km...
haiz... had like 2 hours to spare... so played bridge in the canteen... actually 1 of them say better not play coz bad example... luckily she didnt really stop us. past time faster... so silly of me to think we could go watch movie, dey all no mood
at 2pm, we were told to go hall, den dey tok tok... ah... final time in ny hall as a batch, as a class, in hongzi... den when they were showing us the statistics, dey screamed! wah, sooo long nvr hear it liaoz... the excitement, kindda miss it... hahaz, a bit siao to miss the deafening ny scream, but ppl r always like tt... when we were at ny, we dislike it but when we leave, we realise tt its actually so nice
they got the 8/9/10 a1s ppl to go up onstage to take photos, i only sat down dere... den i was super scared while waiting to get my result slip... but after getting still had the scared feeling... didnt even get 5a1s lorz... sooo lousy... super disappointed with my sciences... fancy a science student not getting a single a1 in any of the 3 science subjects that she took!!! kaoz!!! all a2!! not even a1 for chem! i always get a1 for chem lorz... muz b the prac lor... push me down.... haiz... den physics got ups n downs la, so still acceptable... den bio didnt expect to get a2 la... thot is b or c... but to think abt it, mayb is my prac pull me up coz i knew tt i did my bio prac quite well, den the chem n phy pracs got screwed... so pek chek... juz like wat my chem teacher used to say, ppl always tink chem sure can get a1 so study harder for the other sciences but end up all a2, nothin gd to use for l1r5... that's me lor... so i cried abit when i called my mom to tell her abt my results...
but heng heng my ss n hist got a1!! so surprising!!! i never got a or b before for history lorz, forever c or lower (i got e8 for mid yrs, oso failed for sec3 eoy i think). den ss sometimes not bad la, but history will forever push me down to b or c... den suddenly a1! not a2 but a1! siaoz... but very gd la, nice nice :)
den for english really have to thank my tuition teacher mr bala! if not for him i think i wont get a2 lor, so THANKS ALOT! i only went to him after my syf coz band too busy. den tt time i thot i really need help otherwise if i fail my english, i dont need go jc liaoz... so i started hvg tuition after none for abt 5yrs+
the idea i used for my eng comp came from him, otherwise i guess i would hv written another childish comp of mine like for the past exams...
hmm, den for hcl... haiz... fancy a cheena girl like me getting c6... no one to blame but me la... didnt even really study much... n screwed up my zuo wen like for prelims...
kz... enuf of all those... shall tok abt wat happened after tt...
i went to plaza singapura pastamania wif yiyun, xiuxia, yiling, huiru, lingee, ruyan n sharleen. den we went to carrefour (hahaz, so weird). den we sat in the mrt station n tok for some time b4 going home
saturday, i went out wif my present class. supposed to meet at 11am. i thot i wld b late but ended up 2minutes early. den chris came awhile later n every1 else was late... kaoz... haiz... nvm...
then came nic, kangqi, pam, serjing n finally gerard. we had lunch at mos burger den xinyu n justine joined us to go to marina bay. we played in the arcade n pooled. yuqing, edwin n sandra oso came. my hands were so dry i cldnt slide the cue lorz, n kept hitting wrongly...
den we shared chicken curry b4 the guys played soccer n the girls went to the riverside to stone n tok b4 the guys came n join us dere. actually dey were waiting for one of the guys to call us coz we left them w/o telling them where we were gg but dey oso expected that they wld heck care abt us n juz play their soccer. finally we went lau pa sat to hv dinner. hmm... guess i really prefer pri sch gathering but i still hv to fit into my present class. yes, i m trying :)
wa... super long hvnt blog le... shall spend some time blogging now b4 my irritating bro returns n wrecks havoc..
todae my class went to watch movie after lessons ended at 3 but i didnt go... haiz... coz i had to do make-up chem prac... they watch movie for 2 times liaoz... n both times i cldnt make it... nvm...
'o' lvl results r coming out!!! hahaz... guess that's wat all j1s r toking n blogging abt now...
hmm... actually i hv some things to blog abt that happened quite a few days ago... but at that time either i was too busy or my irritating bro dont let me us comp...
shall start from pre-v-dae days...
my angel veri nice! gave me a rose n choco for v-dae! only person to give me rose sia.
alot of ppl oso veri nice:
- the guys in my class gave the girls a goodie bag each! (found out that it was nicholas's idea n his mom did all the packaging... *dots* hahaz)
- yuqing super rich sia, gave every1 a personalised heart made of wood plus a kitkat
- 'the four' ie xinyu, justine, cheryl, sandra (heez edwin gave them the nick) gave every1 a balloon with candies inside n msg attached. i got a red heart! heez
- estelle gave each person 3 hersheys kisses
- yingying gave each person a mini-choco bar n msg attached
- my oboe snr gave me a pack of goodies
hope i didnt miss out any1... its been ssooooo long...
hmm... den on v-dae, nj had roadrun at turf city. i was saboed to run for competitive... nearly died... had severe stitch on both sides... but walked alot so not that bad but still cld feel the stitch during the rest of the dae...
when the rest of the class was hvg the fun-run, i had to sian ard... haiz... even worst then stoning...
then our class left at 10+am b4 the prize presentation. hahaz... we went to eat at adam's road food centre then i walked back to nj coz i had band rehearsal for ms kua's farewell
after band, i rushed home to bathe b4 gg out to meet the class again. we had bbq steamboat at marina bay n played pool.
then i regretted gg coz i felt super out-of-place, most prob coz those whom i usually
hanged out with werent there...
and that irritating guy pissed me off... tried to ignore him liaoz he still so thickskinned... haiz...
the following day was my bdae... i cldnt go for the 4/10 gathering coz got too much hw esp zuo wen that was supposed to b due on v-dae eve but we pushed the deadline to monday so i really had to do it
then i was soooo sad... while doing the zuo wen... n thought that it was my worst bdae... spent super long doing it... abt 3 hours lorz... n only 2 pages... n my mom forgot that it was my bdae... but its ok since she was sick...
but in the evening, i went for band dinner at sentosa n was much happier. they sang me bdae song n my snrs gave me a pink bracelet. then we had quite a bit of fun
oh, i shall list the ppl who smsed me birthday wishes :)
cleopas, my sl
lydia, my direct snr
ivy
geraldine (who mixed up my bdae wif ivy's n smsed on 13th, hahaz... den she smsed again on my bdae)
huiling n laura gave me prezzies :)
aiya... my list quite pathetic lehz.... compared to last few yrs... nvm... i shant b too greedy... i aint a sociable friendly person anywayz
last saturday, after band n visiting mom, i went to meet huitian, yuxian n huijuan to play pool at marina b4 gg to watch talent-time. then went to newton food centre with the class for dinner. waited super long to get enuf seats for every1... the food veri nice! but ex n fattening too... heez
updated:
aiya, forgot to mention abt the enterprise club sale of roses for v-dae initiated by me! hahaz... its wasnt very good la... but after all the division of profits, i got $15. not that bad la... initially i didnt want it... but huiling forced me to take it
todae njcsb sold cookies to raise funds to go to switzerland! yep!! we r gonna go switzerland :) yay! but it is ex! $2000 per pax after subsidies (from sch n from etude fund). the cookies sales was super duper successful!! we were supposed to wrap up the cookies during break n sell them during lunch. but the cookies were sold out even b4 lunch!!! amazing rite! haha, but benson (our band major) said that our profits will b only abt $100... hahahaha... divided dao lai becomes $1+ per person... hahhaha... but its a good beginning! heez
hmm, my class juz started playing the angel n mortal game wif our snr class (other classes started wks ago liaoz), n my angel n mortal both seem like nice ppl :)
so we went out the whole day! ah, really didnt expect it. coz i thought it wld b only lunch.
i told them not to b late, but it ended up tt i myself was late! haha, but only abit, n puikwan n weiliang were even more late! haha, push the blame :) so bad...
ah, let me list the ppl who went! me, pam, ivy, puikwan, boonshan (left early), minrui (joined us later), weilin, weiliang, zhengqiang, ivan, sweeyee, cody (left early)
we had lunch at sizzler toa payoh n played zhong1 ji2 mi4 ma3. haha, i so lucky, didnt kena at all. then some of them super sway, kena a few times. the punishment was to eat the fruits, (when every1 was already so full). then weilin was supposed to go get more fruits but we had a conspiracy so for the following round, he kena n had to eat half the amt of peach he brought back.
after that we watched "stuck on you". its quite funny n touching at some parts
then we went to parkway there to play pool. ah, its my 1st time! n ivy taught me how to play. we had 2 tables, 1 for guys n 1 for gals. then after a few games, we mixed. pam was oso a 1st timer, but she was gd at it. haha, so of course she won the both times we played. zhengqiang was very pro. the others oso gd, haha, at least better than me. i teamed with sweeyee against zhengqiang n ivan n each team won 1 game.
hmm... the balls seemed to get into the holes easier when i was playing team than when i was playing individual. but i often didnt hit the cue ball properly... juz moved it slightly... so always give away free balls
we played from 5-7pm, then every1 paid $5. hmm, i think pool is better then bowling, at least u dont throw so much face when the ball gets into the 'drain'...
we had dinner at burger king. then it was lame jokes telling time! initially, we were supposed to play zhong1 ji2 mi4 ma3 again then we were thinking of the punishment. they came up with all sorts of funny stuff like going up to the staff with a pack of fries n asking for the manager then say sth lame to him. another idea was to ask the staff why not "burger queen". then there were so many lame jokes told that they suggested recording a compilation of all of lame jokes.
after exhausting the lame jokes every1 had, we went to east coast park to pop the 2 champagne bottles we bought. they were super cheap, only $3 each. then we played murderer. we played the hold hands type so when more ppl were killed, the rest had to stretch all the way.
then in the end zhengqiang n pamela, the 2 ppl beside me had to do forfeit. haha, lucky me again. the forfeit was to talk to each other while looking thru a dustbin. super lame sia. lucky for them that there was no 1 nearby at the time they were doing the forfeit.
we also played another game then ivy had stomach flu pain so we moved on to macs. haha, they said more lame stuff along the way n oso at macs. then finally we went home at 10+pm. they wanted to go changi airport to stay overnite but my mom was already calling to make me go home n the other gals expect puikwan oso couldnt stay.
hmm, this is really the most fun gathering out of the 4 we had recently. there wasnt much disagreement whenever we decided on things to do so we stuck together as 1 whole group thru out the whole gathering n had lots of fun. but i was very quiet n they sort of laughed at me. haha, juz like my jc friends now
You are going to marry Ashton Kutcher. He is kind and sweet, but pulls a lot of pranks (and probably quite a few on you too!!)and can always make you laugh.
Congrats!!

Other Recommended Readings by Marc
The Origin of Species by Charles Darwin – Few books have had as significant an impact on the way society views the natural world and the genesis of humankind.
The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell – Gladwell looks at how a small idea, or product concept, can spread like a virus and spark global sociological changes. Specifically, he analyzes “the levels at which the momentum for change becomes unstoppable.”
David Copperfield by Charles Dickens – This is a tale that lingers on the topic of attaining and maintaining a disciplined heart as it relates to one’s emotional and moral life. Dickens states that we must learn to go against “the first mistaken impulse of the undisciplined heart.”
Lolita – This is the kind of book that blows your mind wide open to conflicting feelings of life, love and corruption… and at times makes you deeply question your own perceptions of each. The story is as devious as it is beautiful.
Getting Things Done by David Allen – The quintessential guide to organizing your life and getting things done. Nuff said.
How To Cook Everything by Mark Bittman – 900 pages of simple instructions on how to cook everything you could ever dream of eating. Pretty much the greatest cookbook ever written. Get through a few recipes each week, and you’ll be a master chef by the time you’re 30.
Honeymoon with My Brother by Franz Wisner – Franz Wisner had it all… a great job and a beautiful fiancée. Life was good. But then his fiancée dumped him days before their wedding, and his boss basically fired him. So he dragged his younger brother to Costa Rica for his already-scheduled honeymoon and they never turned back… around the world they went for two full years. This is a fun, heartfelt adventure story about life, relationships, and self discovery.
Self-note: Tip for my future business =D
give employees reasonably high pay to keep them- otherwise they are unlikely to stay loyal.
treat employees not according to how well they treat me but how conscientious they are at work
(of course, musn't expect them to only do work throughout the entire working hours -

30Dec09: "Sherlock Holmes" w Irene, Tony, Sweetee (my favourite genre of books made into a movie - what else can be more cool? acting effects humour excitement suspense all in)
12Jan10: "Avatar 3D" w Mom (didn't appreciate the digital effects which everyone wowed about. content etc was so-so. cathay's 3D glasses were too heavy for me)
8Feb10: "The Truman Show" w Ky n sis n Yuhshin (a must-watch. very thought-provoking, funny. reminder to be spontaneous and create your life the way you want, instead of falling into a typical routine
14Feb10: "New York, I Love You" w Mom (I loved it! a good couple movie with meaningful pointers to keep it going. but i think some stories could be more developed)
16Feb10: rewatched "The Pianist" (still find it good, tho i still feel first viewings are the best)
17Feb10: "Valentine's Day" w CHL n WB (laughed throughout - a feel-good movie; liked the fact that the various stories binded tog so well with the little surprises here and there, vs NY ILU in which each story was separate)
20Feb10: "赤壁二" w Addy, Karen, Sharon, SJ (should have watched the first one first cos i ended up not knowing who's who and what's happening and had to keep asking :/ and couldn't pay attn.. if not i think it should be a pretty good movie..)
4Mar10: "Alice in Wonderland 3D" w Mf (i found the 3D effects of this @ CCK Shaw SO much better than Avatar @ The Cathay =/ and the movie was much more enjoyable too! - cheered a sad me up :)) favourite quote - the Mad Hatter: “You used to be much muchier before. ... You have lost your muchness.”)

Inception
Letters to God (very simple Christian movie)
22Nov10: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" w Ame, Irene (they loved it. pretty good, i guess the main problem i had was that im not familiar with HP :X)
13Dec10: "The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader" w Sj (not bad, could follow the story unlike HP. like the meaningful teachings, too long - in a post)
2Mar11: "The King's Speech" w Ame (hilarious, inspirational, tho it doesn't impress me that much to understand why it's the Oscar winner)
Mar11: "10 Things I Hate About You" very funny. silly sweet high school romance. just right for having breaks in between doing homework
23May11: "Pirates of the Carribean: On Stranger Tides" w Wb Yl Ame Pg (pretty good - scenery, freakish parts, fighting scenes, dressing, humour, bits of Christianity like when the Spanish said "only God gives life")
6Jun11: "Xmen First Class" w Wb Ame Pg (i was very keen on watching it and it was really good! intellectual, makes sense, cool action, some humour)
9Jun11: "Legally Blonde 2" w Irene (seems like some dumb blonde movie but kind of meaningful too - speaking up for yourself and what you stand for)
17Jun11: "Something Borrowed" w Sandy Lisa (quite funny, somewhat meaningful wrt friendships. they didn't like the lack of sense for one part tho)
16Jul11: "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2" w Irene, Sweetee, Kw (not bad. i didn't understand some parts again but the humour and effects were pretty good)
Aug11 "Horrible Bosses" w Ma (she fell asleep! gosh. the movie was very crude i must say but there was the humour)
25Oct11: "The Three Musketeers" w H (i would rate it 3.5 for humour/intellectual language and 4 for action. it's by the same producer or director as Sherlock! but a bit less awesome albeit a good chill out movie)
5Nov11: "Real Steel" w Hl (action packed but not too hardcore for me. i liked that there was the father and son element and how the father eventually softened his heart and especially the part when charlie was having trouble telling max sth and max was so understanding saying "Don't worry. Your secret's safe with me." touching and demonstrates true fighting spirit)
12Dec11: "50/50" w L (adopting her words - a heavy topic put across in a lighthearted way, but not taking away d meaning. most of it was rather hollywood-ish trashiness but there were a couple of punch lines "u can't change ur parents, but u can change d way u respond to them.")
25Dec11: "Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol" w KY (ultimate action packed! super tense almost throughout the movie, and interesting Tom Cruise made it such that not everything happened smoothly - he would jump and misland and get all sorts of injuries..it's really the courage to jump without hesitation even though you are not sure you'll be alive after that. KY loved d movie and said she would watch it again!)
3Jan12: "Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows" w KY (i love mystery (: and the witty sarcastic dialogues. good level of excitement with the action. didn't understand some parts as usual. i like Holmes and Watson they depict such a true pair of buddies ;D)
23Jan12: "You are the Apple of My Eye" w mom (now i understand why guys like this movie so much - the anxiety of chasing after a girl and the acts schoolboys do to get the girl's attention and hopefully affection. the initial fluttering and the subsequent quarrelling)
22Mar12: "The Iron Lady" w KY (really love Thatcher's sharp words. inspiring and thought-provoking, tho i was still left uncertain of what to do with my life, the movie is definitely an encouraging one)
29Mar12: "Barney's Version" w SJ (a funny movie of a screwed up life of a man who had 3 wives, smoked and drank but very heartwarming at the same time, the relationships with the dad and the 3th wife - quotable quotes!)
27Apr12: "The Hunger Games" w Mom
4May12" "Avengers" w MF n PS (funny, action-packed)
7Jul12: "The Amazing Spiderman"
21Jul12: "The Dark Knight Rises" (fantastic depth, loved the twists)
